My name is Brandon Harrison and this is my first year as a rider missionary. I am blessed with a wonderful family that includes my wife Suzan and our 3 boys named Finley, Leif, and Isak. Both my wife and I work within the field of education. I work at Burlington Notre Dame and she works within the public domain within special education. I am a member of the Knights of Columbus and sit on the council at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church.
I was first introduced to Biking for Babies by a priest named Fr. Nick who had hosted a group during the national ride. This had intrigued me, but I become more interested after a mass and dinner event that hosted riders that took place in Quincy, Illinois. Their stories were very moving and stuck with me throughout the remainder of summer.
First and foremost, I am doing this to be a better witness of the Gospels and live out their joy and promise. As a father and teacher, it is important to be a good role model for my sons and students, acting in a manner that is congruent in what I believe. The bike ride will be one component of this goal, but sharing stories from women that benefited from pregnancy resource centers, carrying and lifting up prayers, and uniting suffering to the cross of Jesus is how I intend to accomplish this mission.
Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.
