My Story

Hello! This is Pranav Roy. I'm a 1st year rider missionary for Biking for Babies. Outside of the mission, I'm a 23 year old guy from Milwaukee working as a metallurgist and someone who desires to serve the Lord.

This summer in July, I will be biking 600+ miles from Green Bay to St. Louis, and in the process, I am fundraising for the mission of Biking for Babies, which in part is direct support of pregnancy resource centers. I am specifically partnered with the Hagar House, a women's shelter in Wausau, WI.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I'm excited to share the mission with you :)

I first learned about Biking for Babies from my old roommate a few years back, who was a rider missionary for Biking for Babies back in 2024. He asked me to join him then; however, I chose not to. The following year, I met more Biking for Babies missionaries at the 2025 SEEK conference, and talking to them indeed planted a seed in me that eventually grew into this strong desire to be part of this mission, eventually in 2026. Praise God.

I would like to take a brief moment to share why I chose to be a Biking for Babies missionary this year. Three reasons: I enjoy biking, I love babies, and human life is worth defending. It might sound like this decision came easily, but it was a challenge for me to step up and respond with a yes. I said no two times (2023 & 2024) before I responded with a yes in 2026. I was anxious about school, losing a week's worth of paycheck, saving up money for emergencies & tuition, and most of all, I feared that I would fail to commit. I was trying to make everything perfect. 2025 was a year of surrender for me. I started to let go of things I didn't have control over and let Jesus take the wheel. This form of utter reliance on God started to bear fruit. I was less anxious, I was blessed with my dream job, my relationship with God grew deeper, and my desire to will the good of others kept growing. In February of 2026, a friend of mine asked me to consider Biking for Babies again. It took me a solid 15 minutes before going to bed to say yes, that very night. I knew the Lord would take care of everything. During the summer of 2023 and 2024, I biked 28 miles every day to and from work, 5 days a week, because I didn't own a car. This assured that I would give my best in training.

As I reflect on my decision, what an opportunity I'm given to bear suffering and offer it up as an intercession and gift to the pregnant women in need! In the Stations of the Cross, the 11th Station (Nailing Jesus on the Cross) states: "My Jesus, loaded with contempt, nail my heart to Thy feet, that it may ever remain there to love Thee, and never quit Thee again." I believe there is no better way to love God than to love His creation. I consider the physical pain and the constant battle against lack of motivation to be the nailing of my heart to thy feet, and my utter belief in the goodness that comes out of my sacrifice to be the fuel to never quit thee.

Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.

Thank you for your support and prayers! I'm praying for you too :)
