Hello! Thank you for taking the time to peek at my fundraising page. I am so excited to be a missionary for Biking for Babies this year! Here is a little bit more about what that means...
From March to August, I have committed to growing in holiness and virtue by prayer and offering up sacrifices for the gospel of life. This includes formation, daily prayer, regular team calls, training for the National Ride, and fundraising for pregnancy centers and maternity homes.
This summer, I will be riding from Oklahoma City to St. Louis! Through this mission, my teammates and I will be working to reveal the dignity of the human person by spreading the pro-life message and encountering those around us.
But why would I do this?
I grew up being told the story of my birth. My mom explained that when she was 12 weeks along, she started bleeding, and thought she was going to miscarry me. She rushed to the doctor for an ultrasound, and although there was a heartbeat, she was told she would likely lose the baby. Within the next day or so, the bleeding stopped, and 6 months later, I decided to crash my own baby shower as well as my sister's birthday party, arriving 3 weeks early. This story has shown me how my mom never gave up on me, and how I should never give up on anyone else. It has reinforced the importance of prayer in my life, and has strengthened my belief that every life is a miracle.
This story, along with my faith journey, has solidified my commitment to defending life at every stage. Additionally, being on a college campus has heightened my awareness of the potential for unplanned pregnancies and emphasized the importance of ensuring women know they do not have to face them alone.
Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.
Even greater than any financial gift you could give, please offer your prayers for me and the other missionaries for this summer. We need your prayers more than anything.
Thank you!
